Wordbuilders is the convenient way to build a more powerful vocabulary. Each 60-minute cassette in the series features forty words used in everyday conversation or in the media and books, but which many people skip, finding them difficult, or even impossible, to define or pronounce accurately. Using highly effective mnemonic devices, captivating dramatized vignettes, and a variety of exercises to aid retention, each Wordbuilders program teaches you how to pronounce, define, and use a new selection of common but hard-to-use words. Each tape package includes a wallet-size card bearing the words, their definitions, and a pronunciation key for quick, easy reference anytime, anywhere.

The Wordbuilders tapes are great for business people, students, public speakers, and word lovers everywhere. They'll help you build the confidence that comes with real word power--whether in business, in school or in daily conversation. Join the Wordbuilders tradition of enjoyable learning!

5.0 out of 5 stars At Last! A Vocabulary Tape I Enjoyed!, June 6, 1999
By
JR35@webtv.net (Alexandria, VA USA) - See all my reviews
This one's fun! Great vocabulary; entertaining stories with good acting; and the best format for reinforcing words I've heard so far. (I just ordered a copy for my niece and nephews.) Find out about the capricious, dilettante mechanic; what Appalachian Clem fears will be proscribed; whether the diamond cutter is venal... What a find! I'm as sanguine as the archeologist in volume 1. Congratulations Audio Univ/Bantum Audio Publishing! You've bested Princeton Review (Word Smart), Peter Funk of Funk and Wagnall (Word Power), Paul Altman (600 Words You Need to Know) and all the others I've listened to. My only concern is that buyers intending to purchase another volume will erroneously select one of the other vocab tapes that begin with 'Word'.
