5.0 out of 5 stars terrific music
I was first exposed to this band through an internet radio site. I'm amazed theres not any reviews up here yet! If you like trip hop you have to pick this CD up. It has a very cool breezy, upbeat feeling and is sort of a combination of icy trip hop bands like Massive Attack and Drum & Bass like Roni Size/Breakbeat Era with a bit of jazz influence. The female vocals are out of this world. Sultry, soulful, and silky smooth. Standout tracks are 'I Wish' and 'Always 2 Always'.. Well, all of them are standouts really. Give it a listen, if you like bands like Morcheeba, Lamb, Massive Attack, Moloko, you'll love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Killah, April 2, 2004
This review is from: Words & Beats (Audio CD)
Not really sure how this album was overlooked during its day. Great lyrics, great vocals, great beats - a truly exceptional neo-jazz (before the term was cool) recording, with influences ranging from Ella to Portishead. Think Jill Scott mixed with Bahamadia, backed with beats by Andrew Barlow of Lamb. Truly one of the better albums of recent years, in any genre.

This CD goes so hard. It's fabulous from beginning to end. If you want something smooth to drive to or just something to kick back and enjoy then this is the right answer. Anthea's voice is nothing short of incredible. I don't even have a favorite song as the CD just plays from beginning to end. It's a winner.
