5.0 out of 5 stars The Chi'T, February 25, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Words Don't Fit in My Mouth (Paperback)
As a poet, I would like to thank Jessica Care Moore for being the one woman amongst the Blackwomen poets to take her love and anger, and paint a mural of respect for the spoken word artist. As a Black male poet, I feel that it is poets like her that enables other artists to "school" the masses on the wrong doings of all evil entities that are devouring the Black race. Keep Building On my Sister, for one day Chicago, Detroit, New York and the cities alike will feel what we are doing and it is just not performing. Thanks for the reading at Chicago State University.

5.0 out of 5 stars The True Black Aesthetic, November 18, 2001

Moore blows up the spot with her poetry! She speaks her mind and speaks it well. Her nonchalant attitude towards political correctness makes her thoughts more outrageous and vivid. The next Sanchez is on her way, so move!!!

Pure Passion and Perfection. Jessica has her own
Poetic Perfection. As a fellow writer from the
midwest, I applaud Jessica's passion, perseverance,
reverence for her art and love for her people. She's
a ball of fire, and God made her that way! Her words
jump out at you, they fill your ears, they dance around
you, dare you to question them. Sounds like truth, her
truth and the truth of so many of us: Black folks, women
folks, women artists, passionate people, visionaries and love makers. From one poetess from the midwest to another, Jessica, may your life be long, fruitful and ever
exploding from your creative vision! One love

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding....., October 4, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Words Don't Fit in My Mouth (Paperback)
Jessica Care Moore touches on subjects that are usually left untouched. She writes about womanhood, pride, sexuality, love, friendship and the list just goes on..My favorite poems are Appleseed, Black Statue of Liberty, and Y Chromosome. It is a book that can be shared among lovers, friends, sisters, brothers, aspiring poets, and family.

I feel as though this book is outstanding. I looked for this book for about two years before I actually received it. Believe me, it was worth the wait. I can't wait for J.C.M. to come out with another book. I will definitely follow her career.

This review is from: The Words Don't Fit in My Mouth (Paperback)
This woman in fabulous. I'm glad she's out there. Her poetry is exciting, uplifting and educating. I've been searching for her work since the first time I saw her on Showtime at The Apollo introducting her poetry to the world. It's no surprise that she's made it this far and there's no telling how far she's going to go.
