If you are easily offended by sexually suggestive humor and disrespect for religion, this album is not for you. However, if you enjoy irreverent and sexually explicit humour set to music, you might like it. The style is varied: much of it is hip-hop or rap, but not exclusively so. The lyrics are intelligent and well thought out. Not all of the album is musical; there is some more "traditional" standup comedy as well.

Points of comparison are Greydon Square and Tim Minchin. Compared to Greydon Square, this album talks much more about sex and less directly about politics and religion, with better and more varied music and vocals, and much more humor. An exception of sorts is "rant," which is a devastating critique of Christianity/Catholicism, in addition to being a very well-done rap piece.

The work of Tim Minchin is a much closer comparison to this album. Words, words, words is more varied in style and much more sexually explicit than Minchin typically is. If you like Tim Minchin, you'll almost certainly like this album. "rant," my personal favorite, is as compelling as Tim Minchin's "The pope song" and "The good book."

My only real complaint is that it isn't longer. I'm looking forward to his next album.

Bo Burnham is pure genius! Like the other reviewer stated, if you are easily offended this CD is definately for you, but if you are open to explicit material then you will be pleased by this. He is brilliant when it comes to writing lyrics, using puns and intertwining everyday ideas and objects into his songs. Unlike his first album which was just songs, this one has some traditional standup between songs. If you get a chance get the DVD companion to his as well. I'm not sure why he didn't release this album as a CD/DVD combo like his first album, but I am still totally satisfied and it leaves me wanting more. I am looking forward to seeing Bo perform next week!

I saw his show on Netflix and decided the buy this album, I listened to it all the way through twice. Now that I've had it for a few months I don't listen to it as often, but I love using it to introduce people to Bo Burnham.

The first time I came across Bo Burnham was on Comedy Central, I enjoyed it so much that I spent the next couple of hours on Youtube looking for his material. I watched bits that I just saw, again and again. The young man is simply brilliant. His songs and jokes are not only funny but witty and smart. He is a well educated man who uses his knowledge for humour. He has a great delivery and is also a talented musician as he accompanies his songs with piano or guitar. I bought both the album and the DVD version of the Words Words Words. Of course there will be those who might not like the swearing or some of the subject matter in his material (for adults only), but hey, can't please everyone. He started out as a Youtube sensation, and that is how he got noticed and now is a proper mainstream comedian. To me, already one of the best.

He is different that most. He sings his jokes instead of just standing there and delivering one-liners, or long winded rants. But even his melodies are good, there is not one track on this that I did not enjoy. And I recommend this to all comedy fans. I wont bore you with describing each song or joke, check them out for yourself on youtube and then get his album or the DVD, you won't be sorry. Just make sure you watch something with lyrics on the screen, so you won't miss a word of his brilliant and hilarious wit.

The kid is just smart, crafty. He will never need a song writer or some music exec telling him what to say or how to say it. Well versed, well written, and fun. He's the anti-eminem.

...then you'll absolutely love this CD. I loved his first CD -A LOT-, so I had a tough bar for him to match. But Words Words Words is definitely a good follow-up. He keeps focus on his music, but also throws in a good amount of stand-up and poetry as well, which keeps things interesting. This one is actually a lot more message-oriented than his first CD, as well. I don't mean that it screams in your face or anything, but if you listen close there's a lot of great messages tied within his songs. Great CD!

Bo Burnham is FUNNY as H*LL! As you've probably read from other reviews, he's far from PC and offers a buttload of hilariously offensive, sexually-charged insanely witty, intelligent musical humor. This guy is a musical, lyrical and sociological genius with an impressive level of awareness and ability to turn his observations on society, people and life into incredibly entertaining music. I'm a huge fan of all his albums and hope to see him live soon.

Bo Burnham does more of the wordplay that made his first album funny. There are many of the same topics as before (He is only 19 so he hasn't made the "My baby did the funniest thing" album yet. It is very funny but if you are easily offended please stay away; Joan Rivers would love this album.
