and I don't know the author :). Very powerful, human interest-wise, and very informative of what it was like to live on the American homefront during WWII. When I got to the last page, I felt like I was leaving old friends behind.

As a classmate of the author I can verify most of the details documented in this novel. Locations are acccurate as are the events. I can even imagine who some of the characters are/were. Great job Ernie.
