Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

Grouped by subthemes such as bonds of humanity, human rights, and the tragedy of war, these quotations express a variety of outlooks on peace. Most are a paragraph in length, although some run a page. Biographical notes briefly identify the speaker and/or the organization represented. The chronology lists all winners of the prize. Jimmy Carter's foreword discusses these "heroes of peace" and unifies the concepts presented in their speeches.
