4.0 out of 5 stars A recommended buy, December 11, 2007
This review is from: Words Untold & Dreams Unlived (Audio CD)
If you are a fan of bands like Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, Circus Maximus, then this is the band for you. The first few tracks are undoubtedly the best, but the rest of the album is pretty solid. It sort of trails off towards the end - 'Thriven' certainly isn't the best closer ever.

Highly recommended - 'Reduced To Nothingness' is amazing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some Serenity and Some Metal!, August 5, 2008

I'm on the fence with this album, I like it alot but also find it boring in some spots. The production is superb, the musicians are very good. The singer is above average( He sounds like Klaus Meine from Scorpions a little )

If you enjoy Vanden Plaus, Darkwater, Dream Theater etc then you will enjoy this album. I heard some of the new album due out Sept 9th, 2008 (its called Fallen Sanctuary ) and it sounds awesome!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Progressive Power Metal!, September 20, 2007
This review is from: Words Untold & Dreams Unlived (Audio CD)
this my friends was a very surpriseing album. i never even heard of these guys before. well i've been missing out! they are awsome. best way to describe them is progressive power metal. very tight band! good guitar playing. if your a shred head you'll enjoy the leads very much. and very moody keyboard playing. the vocals are also some of the best i heard in power metal. i highly recommend this album!

for fans of dream theater, pagans mind, and evergrey, even fans of soilwork and in flames!

I was pleasantly surprised with this album. Every song on the album is solid. Crisp musicianship, great harmonies, excellent vocals. This is definitely one of the better progressive albums I own.

Being a progressive rock fan, I am fairly picky regarding my impressions of new releases. Without a doubt this album is the winner of the best progressive collection of songs I have hear in 2007 and 2008. Sweeping melodies, crisp musicianship, dynamic vocals and stunning arrangements. This cd has every thing a fan of the genre could want, PLEASE!!!!!! give it a listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Bombast!, February 3, 2008
This review is from: Words Untold & Dreams Unlived (Audio CD)
"Father, the sleeper has awakened." Indeed! New from central Europe, Serenity has more than awakened. With excellent song writing, Serenity expertly walks the tight rope of sweet melodies while never requiring an insulin injection (aka Styx). Oh, did I mention hard hitting riffage, thundering drums, and introspective moments among the mayhem? I can't wait to see these guys at Prog Power USA in September.

Serenity has a sound very similar to Sonata Arctica. Any fan of Sonata Arctica will definitly appreciate the talent in this group.
