love this book everytime I pick it up!,
By Nadine Goulet (Newmarket,, NH USA) - See all my reviews

This book isn't about being "written in some 'proper' form, or needing an index, or table of contents...". Open your eyes, and your heart to this book and to yourself! So many things said in this book to remind us that we are alive, and able. I have purchased 20 copies of this book to date, and received much gratitude from almost all of the women I gave it to. It's a treat! For all of us. One of lifes little pleasures, I think.

Take a minute to taste the roses!,
By A Customer
This review is from: 365 Words of Well-Being for Women (Paperback)
This book is not what you think--it's not a page-a-day calendar for people who prefer not to think or to practice what they preach. This book is for people who want to celebrate being alive. It's for people who know what it means to bend double with laughter--and with tears. It's for every woman (and man) who ever wanted to stop and taste the roses--not just smell them. If you believe that life is full of wealth and joy and harmony, you will love this book--and you will want to spread the good words. Check it out!

When I came upon this book I was looking for a new daily meditation book, what I found was a new friend through Rachel's writing. She makes you feel as though you are the most wonderful, alife person through her insights. She has brought a renewed joy and enthusiam to my days. I look forward to reading something everyday and doing, yes, actually doing the things outlined for that reading. What fun this book has brought to my life. I thank Rachel, the author, for sharing herself with us and I thank God and the angels for leading me to it. I know what I am buying for my women friends for Christmas this year. Read it, you're sure to enjoy it also.

Highly recommended! Fun and inspirational!,

This book can be used in several ways. One can choose to start on a certain day of the year and read the book in order from front to back, one word a day, as I did the first time I read it. It gives you one simple word of inspiration to ponder on for the day. Or as I am doing now on my second read through; I just flip open to a page and let the universe decide my word for the day. Also, it's fun with a group of girlfriends, to sit down and everyone pick a word, either by choice or randomly, to read aloud to the other women. You'll be surprised what conversations will spring out of these words. A great little book!

This is one of my favorite little books to give my friends. It appeals to the young and the old. Also great to put by the side of the bed in your guest room. Perfect to read just a little bit before you go to bed.

I found this book several years ago browsing in a bookstore in Colorado for something to lift the spirits of a girlfriend whose husband's cancer had come back "angry". I found it so inspirational and uplifting. I loved it when I was diagnosed with MS. Just find a word to hold onto, let go of and most often to make you smile! I have since doled it out to my close girlfriends just because, my neighbor with breast cancer and most recently for my niece recovering from brain surgery. Truly inspirational! HOWEVER I must let people know that the latest printing is awful. Only black and white, the book is less than half the size of my original which had the words in light variations of color. The paper is so thin that you can see the next word through the page. Distracting you away from the word at hand. PLEASE if anyone out there can bring back the original printing PLEASE do. I need this one for now but will look for better quality printing in the future!

A Welcome Change...,

365 Words of Well-Being for Women, is one of those hidden treasures I enjoy discovering in this day and age, where there seems to be so much repetition within the personal development literature section. Each definition of these 'common' words that fill our daily lives, reflects a gentle compassion, empathy and inspiration in equal measure. They touch us through our past experiences, challenge us to rethink the hereto 'acceptable behaviors' that have been placed around the feminine, while lifting our spirits to that magical place that can only be found within joy and the ability to laugh at ourselves and our experiences. In short, it was a surprise...a very pleasant one.

This book is extraordinary!,

I have been astonished by this book. It is literary, with a reverence for words, their meaning, and their power. It is also helpful, providing thousands of insights about how to live without constraint, honestly, according to your own wisest desires. But it's also something else. It has an uncanny ability to reach into your heart and transform you. I've had two insights worth hours with a shrink, all sparked by a couple of bracingly clear sentences about a couple of words rich with meaning and power.

NOT WORTH IT,
By A Customer
This review is from: 365 Words of Well-Being for Women (Paperback)
I received this book today and found it to be utterly worthless. If you live your life in alphabetical order it might be for you, otherwise don't buy the book. There are no categories, no table of contents, no index. Someone at the publishing company should have enough experience if not creativity to organize this book in a meaningful way.
