I am a musician and a religion teacher. Music and God go together. A method for teaching children gregorian chant seems like a good idea. How do you approach it? The author offers an intuitive approach to the ancient music concentrating on the meaning of the word and the resulting inflection. This is merged with basics of musical singing. The essestials of music are based on gregorian therfore a foray in to musical basics becomes historical basic of most western music as well. The method is do - able and I plan to teach my children how to chant sing and pray at the same time. What is wonderful about this method is that it is a meaningful approach to singing and to the Almighty. For all that it is teachable and very direct. I am ordering 10 student books expecting the extra discount. It is a grand and unifying approach for either catechist or music teacher. Peter Partridge St. Mary's Haverstraw NY
