From the very first time I listened to The Saturdays, I fell in love with them. I quickly bought their first album, "Chasing Lights", which immediately became one of my most listened to albums. The Saturdays rival Girls Aloud for my favorite group, although admittedly the Sats have got a ways to go before they are quite at the GA level. However, I don't let that get in the way of the fact that I completely LOVE THEM!

When I first listened to "Wordshaker", I was blown away. I love their first album, but this one is BETTER! The songs are even more catchy this time around, and the girls sound more relaxed and comfortable in what they're doing. There's a much more natural feel to "Wordshaker" than "Chasing Lights". I've honestly listened to this album more times than I can possibly count. It's THAT good!

Now, for the songs:

Forever Is Over - The first single from the album. A good track, but not one of my favorites from the album. A more Pop/Rock song, with Una playing guitar, which is awesome. Una is my favorite :)

Here Standing - A slower song. Good, but nothing too special.

Ego - The second single from the album. I love this song! It's catchy, it has a great beat, and great vocals from the girls! A wonderful song that never tires for me. One of the album's finest tracks, and one of the girls best songs to date. A good choice for a single, and don't forget to check out the music video!

No One - Another slow song. Better than "Here Standing". A really good song, actually. Not the most memorable on the album, but still always good for a listen.

One Shot - The ABSOLUTE BEST song that The Saturdays have made thus far, let alone on "Wordshaker".

If you haven't listened to The Saturdays 2nd album, you don't know what you're missing out on. The follow-up to their first album, Chasing Lights, Wordshaker goes in the footsteps reminiscent of Girls Aloud mixed with Atomic Kitten. Tracks to recommend are "Ego", "One Shot", and "2 am".

Track List:

1. "Forever Is Over"
2. "Here Standing"
3. "Ego"
4. "No One"
5. "One Shot"
6. "Wordshaker"
7. "Denial"
8. "Open Up"
9. "Lose Control"
10. "Not Good Enough"
11. "Deeper"
12. "2 am"

finds The Saturday's picking up right where they left off.

From their debut album "Chasing Lights".

They've upped the ante this time around with more uptempo songs and just an all around great effort. I'm eagerly awaiting what they have in store for the future. Because they have loads of potential and a unique sound as well. Well crafted songs and accompanying videos only make it that much better. I love the video/song "Ego" also "One Shot", "Wordshaker" and "Forever Is Over" as a few of my ones i enjoy from this album.

British-Irish Girl Group The Saturdays returned with thier second album Wordshaker in October 2009. The follow up to thier Uk Platinum certified debut "Chasing Lights" was intended to show the girls growth and further seperate them from other UK all female acts at the time, though sales wise it did suffer a bit of the "sophmore album curse" it IMO did overall do it's job to continue what the girls started and show how far they had come by that point as well as how far they still have to and is still appreciated by Sats fans today.
1.)Forever Is Over: This was the album's first single and a darn good one at that. This song was coveted by both P!nk and Kelly Clarkson for thier albums but The Sats won out and as much as I love P!nk and Kelly I'm glad they did. The powerful breakup track ( which seems to be the Sats favorite subject, though to be fair they do it very well) with an pop/r&b/pop-rock kicking feel and empowering lyrics this one earned The Sats both critical and fan praise and fans still sing along at every concert. Una starts us off with her raspy yet powerful voice "I was caught in a place far away from the light, what I saw I couldn't face so I closed my eyes" then the opening lines bounce between Rochelle, Mollie,Vanessa and Frankie "Wish I could turn back the page, re-write my point of view save all the time you waste, got to get gone. Don't let it escalate don't fight it's just no use theres nothing left to say... Then the beat comes in and the music kicks into the chorus "Forever is over and my heart's not gonna break, forever is over and I'm no longer afraid, cause if I don't get out now I may never escape your power is fading away. And I'm getting closer to the place I belong forever is over".
