This review is from: The Wordsworth Book of Euphemism (Wordsworth Collection Reference Library) (Paperback)
What a great book, if your wife or girlfriend likes books on euphemisms then you have to give her one. This is a really good reference manual, the author hasn't just knocked one out he has really come up with a useful tool that you'll enjoy getting to grips with.
I had this delivered by Amazon but it was too large for my letter box so the postman had to take it up the rear entrance. This book along with the one on amature taxidermy had been delayed in the post due to the snow and I was busy badly stuffing my wife's beaver on the kitchen table when it came unexpectedly.
Its a really good read, and very easy to dip in and out of, i love the touch of the book and enjoy fingering it at every opportunity however there's nothing nicer than slipping inside it to find that special euphemism. If i am busy cooking in the kitchen I like to read this while i am waiting for things to get ready, I was saucing the clam the other day and tried to read a whole chapter in one go. It got very hard towards the end but i managed to pull it off.
Its a popular book so get it while its hot.
