4.0 out of 5 stars How to turn success into even more success and fulfillment!
Jennifer White's book is not for wimps and losers.

A self-help book written by one of the finest success coaches in the country, "Work Less, Make More" is an innovative tool to help self-driven, highly motivated individuals who are probably already successful do more and do better - to pull themselves out of a stalled rut, perhaps; to work more effectively;...

3.0 out of 5 stars Has some good info, but really only for business owners
Full disclosure: I didn't finish this book entirely. Which is exactly why I am giving it a less than stellar review.

This book has a few tidbits of good information for everyone, but most of it, in my opinion, would only be helpful to you if you work for yourself or own your own business. If you are an employee working 9-5 (as most of us probably are), there...

Jennifer White's book is not for wimps and losers.

A self-help book written by one of the finest success coaches in the country, "Work Less, Make More" is an innovative tool to help self-driven, highly motivated individuals who are probably already successful do more and do better - to pull themselves out of a stalled rut, perhaps; to work more effectively; to make a quantum leap to a higher level of success; and clearly, to make a substantially higher level of income while working at a physically less demanding level.

Jennifer White's focus is on results and the premise, while difficult to envision, is achievable for those who are willing to make a paradigm shift in their outlook on what constitutes success, to undergo a sea change in their relationships with their family, their friends, their customers and their constituents.

This book is NOT for those that are unwilling to subject themselves to an intense level of scrutiny and, for a significant period of time, to pull themselves a long way out of previous comfort zones and to instill in themselves new habits.

My personal opinion is that this book is most likely to be successful for those individuals that are to a significant extent self-employed, self-driven, highly motivated and worrying with the realization that their career needs a lift. For those that qualify and are willing to change, Jennifer White's perscription will help you to become more deeply fulfilled and earn substantially higher financial rewards without driving yourself to an ulcer, without insulating yourself from your family and friends and without contemplating an early grave.

And isn't that what we all want, after all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical and inspirational --- and IT WORKS!, January 23, 2000
By
Diane M. Scholten (Barrington, IL USA) - See all my reviews
As any Amazon shopper knows, there are a plethora of self-help books out there designed to help you live better. What I LOVE about this book is that it's well-organized, pragmatic (and yet spiritually infused, which is important to me) and best of all, it works! I'm a coach myself (like Jen) and so have used these specific, clearly spelled out techniques not only in my own life but with my clients. My personal favorite in this overly busy, cell-phone/email/voice mail/Palm Pilot world is the Power of 3 - by focusing on the top 3 things rather than being scattered way more is accomplished - with more calm, to boot! I can truly say that if you DO this book, not just read it, that it will very postively impact your life. Get it!

5.0 out of 5 stars The tranformational guide to successful, prosperous living, January 9, 2000
If you're truly ready to redesign your life from the inside out, transforming your life to let in more happiness, do less work, and make more money, this book is for you! Many of us are more than ready to get off the treadmill and create a life worth living. Not for the casual reader, this book is for those high achievers who are open and willing to be pathfinders and do it all differently. You gotta be ready to shine if you pick up this book! It will become your constant companion. White shows the way with an amazing program that unlocks your potential and allows you to start living life the way you want to--on your own terms. If you want to put passion back into your work and your life, get this book today. As a success coaching columnist, my job is to review self help books for readers. I have read them all--the hype and promises that ultimately fall flat. Not this one! This book is overflowing with exercises that guide you through the process of leaving the herd mentality and creating a terrific new way to master time (not manage it) and create new profit centers that focus on what you do best (White helps you figure that part out). It's a one-of-a-kind tranformational sucess manual you'll wish that everyone could follow, one that you'll pass on to everyone you care about. I wholeheartedly endorse White's program for my coaching clients and I'm having amazing results using it in my own life and business!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, Straightforward & Very Doable, February 15, 2000
A rare case when something that appears too good to be true, actually delivers exactly what it promises. As I read each chapter I was singularly impressed with the clear logic. Even better it feels right. I was able to apply the suggestions in the book right and am reaping wonderful benefits. I've met many people who measure their success with the amount of ink in their daily planner. Get a copy of this book, and while these folks grind themselves into the dirt, you can enjoy a balanced and fufilled life, with more than a little pocket change to spare. Read chapter by chapter and watch your life unfold in exciting ways.

5.0 out of 5 stars Life Changing Resource, February 12, 2000
Jennifer White's book is a life changing experience. The easy to read format and exercises at the end of each chapter made implementing the principles easy and refreshing. Making major changes in one's life and career can be difficult but her book outlines practical steps to take the leap from talking about making a change to actually "doing" it. Her own personal story of making risky changes, causes the reader to open up your own heart to search the reasons why you are in the work you are and what is stopping you from fulfilling your heart's desire...to finally enjoy life and work at the same time. Chapter 4, "Handle the Time Machine" contains some valuable insight into perfectionism and procrastination. Amazing discoveries of root problems for procrastinators. Overall the book is a valuable tool to making radical change in one's life no matter the station in life, age, career, etc. Finally someone writes a book about what all of us want to do...Work less, Make More. Jennifer is very courageous. I applaud her innovation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Work Less Make More, February 12, 2000

Barb Richards, Coach (Vancouver, BC Canada) - See all my reviews
This book delivers on its title! From the moment I heard the title, I felt challenged to find a new way to live and work. Jennifer's direct, no-holds-barred style is refreshing, thought-provoking and stimulated me to take action.

As a creative, high-performing person who is a businessowner, coach and wife, I have felt overextended, tired and over involved with projects most of my life. And yet, I'd still heard myself say "yes" to the next interesting project that came along. At the end of 1999, I'd reached a point in my life where it was time for this to stop. I followed my intuition about the title of this book, tracked it down and bought it.

This book speaks to the heart of the issue for me. It provides strategies and clear action steps that have guided me to a new way. Jennifer's questions shake up my status quo thinking and challenge me to take a new perspective. Questions like "What is your brilliance?" and "What would it take for you eliminate all the things you do that aren't your brilliance" have challenged me to reorganize my life and business.

As a coach, I've found this an excellent resource for my clients. They come to their next coaching session eager to get to work on having the life they really want and ready to make the changes necessary.

If the title of this book speaks to that knowing place in you....buy it, read it and use it! I look forward to sharing it with many people and having a lot of partners in living life in a joyful, potent and highly effective way.

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing book, November 6, 1999
By A Customer
At first, you think that the book is about working less and making more....but it is MUCH MORE than that. This book is the bible for folks who want to redesigntheir life, to more accurately reflect WHO YOU REALLY ARE. Once you discover (or rediscover) your passions, values and desired lifestyle, Jennifer White helps you on that marvelous journey of letting the genius in you, show through.

Ms. White writes this book in a logical, enjoyable to read and, at times, a humorous style. She helps us through the "blocks" of discovery with wonderfully written stories, inspirational quotes and real life experiences from ordinary folks; who end up discovering that they are in control of their happiness. Stop wondering what you could do....read the book and discover how much worth there is in YOUR BRILLIANCE.
