5.0 out of 5 stars A genuine soul survivor
I am so thankful that Little Buster has released this new album because I believe it's only his third in close to 40 years! "Work Your Show" is a wonderful showcase for a marvelously talented artist who deserves a much wider audience. His voice is a treasure - listen to the way this man attacks a song - he can inspire you out of your seat and onto the dance...

I've been living in the Long Island area for years and it's painfully obvious that Little Buster is an artist with very little to say. This new album is like his live shows--same old songs, same old performances. Avoid at all costs unless you are into treading water.

I am so thankful that Little Buster has released this new album because I believe it's only his third in close to 40 years! "Work Your Show" is a wonderful showcase for a marvelously talented artist who deserves a much wider audience. His voice is a treasure - listen to the way this man attacks a song - he can inspire you out of your seat and onto the dance floor with uptempo shuffles like "Down in Virginia" and "I Got A Mind To Travel" or send you back to the bartender for another round of heartache with "You're Gonna Make Me Cry".....Although he may remind a listener of other great singers with a particular phrase -maybe a bit of Ray Charles here or a touch of Otis or David Ruffin there - this only reveals fellow travelers along the road to the blues. He may not have a wall covered with gold records but that doesn't seem to stop him from bringing his music to the people and sharing with them his very heart and soul as he continues to 'work his show'. Do yourself a favor and check out Little Buster: a genuine soul survivor. p.s. my only regret about this album is that it contains no originals! Some truly classic cuts are available however on "Lookin' For A Home" and "Right On Time!"
