Dynamic and inspiring book,
By
This review is from: Working With Americans: How to Build Profitable Business Relationships (Paperback)
"Having read about Working with Americans (which until then I hadn't realised was a subject!) I wanted to get it to help me understand the owrking relationdhip I had witn an American colleague. I was then fortunate enough to find that Allyson Stewart-Allen was our course leader for a course on Strategic Business Planning. She is as dynamic, enthusiastic and inspiring as this brilliant book. It is fun, enjoyable, informative and educational. I only hope they write many, many more books.!

A must-read regardless of which side of "the pond" you are on. The book is an insightful examination of the human side of business transactions--the personal relationship of the parties that make it happen and how best to develop and nurture those relationships across cultural differences. If you have clients or prospects abroad, this handy quick-read reference guide should always be in your brief case.

This is a very practical guide for Americans whose careers involve international clients, colleagues, suppliers or projects: a must-read for any American even thinking about any aspect of international business. Usefully, however, the book also contains insights for Europeans in their business dealings with Americans. This is a timeless reference guide that should be in every international business person's library.

I read this book just prior to my first business trip to the USA. Not only is the book enjoyable to read but I found it fascinating to recognise so many of the insights that the book contains whilst I was in the US. Highly recommended.
