This book has a lot of great information and useful tips that not only ELL teachers can use, but non-ELL teachers as well. It is easy and enjoyable to read. He has some great analogies that all teachers should be able to understand and appreciate. Administrators should be able to learn from these techniques that real teachers are successfully using in the classroom.

An easy read that is perfect for pre-service educators and practicing educators. The author details practical approaches to help culturally and liguistically diverse students in the typical American classroom feel welcome and valued.

This book has some great, practical ideas to use with students in ESL classrooms. Many of the techniques could also be used with children with special needs. The layout is great - every chapter includes stories about actual classrooms using the techniques, which I found very helpful to read.

This is a very practical book that is an easy, enjoyable read. It offers valuable information to teachers who are learning how to effectively work with English Learners in order to be effective teachers. The individuals used in the examples are relatable and excellent models.
