Unlike perhaps every other book on the subject Working Ferrets dares tackle the real issues of ferret labour and does not just assume the reader is familiar with the background literature. While I have never seen eye to eye with the GEM Ferret Care Group I found Drakeford to be a bloody good read. His descriptions of training ferrets to chase rabbits from their burrows was second only to his overview of types of burrows.
