This review is from: Working With Groups to Explore Food & Body Connections: Eating Issues, Body Image, Size Acceptance, Self-Care (Structured Exercises in Healing) (Paperback)
In running a Community Resource Centre for people affected by eating disorders, we come across a lot of books about body image. Until books have been perused it is difficult to decide which ones to spend money on, especially with a limited budget.

"Food & Body Connections" was definately a good choice. It contains descriptions of group activities which are brilliant in their simple effectiveness. They can be used by professionals or experienced amateurs, and the book gives easy to follow instructions on how to go through the activities. Activities range from icebreakers to body image exercises to exploring cultural attitudes.

This book has been reviewed by clients and group facilitators and we all agree that it is one of the best around.
