Buy this book if you wanna read about a DoD contractor tooting his own horn. But this book if you have worked in Iraq (civilian or military) and want to read about a civilian contractor complaining about his time here. I bought it because I was surprised that a contractor actually got a book deal about working in Iraq. I wish somebody had reviewed the book before I got it. At least it was cheap... and for a reason I later found out.
This book was published quickly in an attempt to turn a fast profit because it has all the keywords of a hot topic of the time. You're not going to learn about any government conspiracies here. It's a quick read you can easily get through in an hour or less. I did not find any statements in the book that were outright lies, but to a person who has not worked in Iraq either as a contractor or part of the military, some of the scenarios or descriptions given in the book can be easily misinterpreted.
This book is poorly written with many typos.
The "author" is a cry baby. If you get this book anyway and disagree, please comment. Any real military personnel who have been in Iraq in the last 7 years & read this book should be able to validate what I'm saying. And we've had a lot of military here.
I hate to give this book even a spark of notice because it may appear that I'm trying to cause controversy; I'm not. It's just a really crappy book. So much that I just couldn't stay quiet.
