Listen, Dance, Workout....or just enjoy!, December 6, 2006

I received my copy of Working the Mix today and I have to say it gave me (what I hope is) temporary compulsive disorder. I've been listening to it all day over and over again. I've had it on in the background--and when it ended I started it from the beginning. Then I brought it to the gym, and I must say I worked myself extra hard. All of the songs have great hooks and the mixes are truly excellent. One song, though, that I feel I should single out is "Ready to Fly Away," by Damian Wild. Not only is it a standout song--Wild has a standout voice. When I saw the liner notes I saw that he was singled out as having a "Timeless" voice. I agree. I can imagine him singing everything from Pop, to Rhythm and Blues to soulful ballads. But, really, you can't go wrong with this CD. There's not a stinker in the bunch.
