My grandson got this book from the library, and I liked it so much I bought for him and for his cousins. My only issue is that home mummies are working mummies too and this point is not included. Other than that, it is a wonderful book. The illustrations are in such detail that a toddler loves to take a lot of time checking out all the different drawings. And at 3, he loves to say "eeewwwww", so the mummy theme is perfect for him. Finally, I love the gentle lesson that mummies not home still love their babies.

The artist is wonderful!
He creates a friendly version of Transylvania that is wonderful to look at!

The Mummys go to work, all to help the kids at home.

And the rest of this haunted house/funhouse world is full of visual jokes certain to please.

For the grownup reading it to a child, well, if you're an Addams Family fan, or loved The Munsters, you'll get a kick out of this too.

I am a librarian and really enjoyed getting this book for our library. The sing-song short verses are hilarious and the pictures are imaginative without being too goulish for even young children. Every page is chock full of scenes that would provoke many comments and questions. The book would be good for children of all ages, especially those who have trouble sitting still!

I ordered this book for my 5 yr old grandson who has a "Mummy" who went back to work this week. The art is great and the text is well written. I have to say that most books for kids on the topic of Mom returning to work are for toddlers/pre-schoolers. This book is a must-have for any Halloween-loving family. My daughter and her son just love it! You'll just love it, too!

A laugh-out-loud romp through the lives of haunted moms! Horton has a gift with rhythm and rhyme and it shines through on every page of this incredibly creative story.
