5.0 out of 5 stars Making poetry writing user-friendly, November 20, 2009
This review is from: The Working Poet: 75 Writing Exercises and a Poetry Anthology (Perfect Paperback)
Scott Minar guides novice to seasoned poet through a comprehensive process for writing that includes a rich variety of structure and form. Best of all, Scott thoughtfully and practically adds an anthology of poetry to complement the exercises and provide a source of examples for immediate reference.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful collection!, November 17, 2009
This review is from: The Working Poet: 75 Writing Exercises and a Poetry Anthology (Perfect Paperback)
The Working Poet is extraordinary. Rich with knowledge from first-class poets, this book is both guide and muse. With in-depth writing exercises and inspirational poems, The Working Poet is a valuable resource to both teachers and beginning poets. I found myself seeking pen and paper immediately, and I wrote some pretty good poems based off the exercises in the book. Anyone interested in teaching and writing poetry should get this book. I found it very useful, and the collection of poems in the book is lovely.
