5.0 out of 5 stars For every woman engaged in a career in any field, October 10, 2001
This review is from: Working Woman's Art of War: Winning Without Confrontation (Hardcover)
Written and designed for women in the 21st century workplace, Chin-Ning Chu's Working Woman's Art Of War: Winning Without Confrontation offers timeless, proven tactics derived from the 2,500 year-old Chinese classic on warfare, Sun Tzu's "The Art of War". It's important to not that Chu's compendium of observations and advice is not hostile to men, but simply and effectively promotes a women's ability to successfully compete with men in any business, trade or profession from CEO, entrepreneur, educator, to stock broker, film producer, or astronaut -- and at the same time continue to be an effective wife, a good mother, and a well-rounded person. Working Woman's Art Of War shows how to turn liabilities into assets, swing "blue moments" into opportunities, the difference between a trophy wife and a working woman, channeling the rage of sexual harassment into a tool for advancement, simultaneously embracing family and career, overcoming gender discrimination, dealing with other women's professional jealousy, possessing style as well as substance, and a whole lot more. Working Woman's Art Of War is essential reading for every woman engaged in a career in any field and at any level.

5.0 out of 5 stars Filled My Savvy Sponge, June 28, 2002
By
Molly Squires (Northern California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Working Woman's Art of War: Winning Without Confrontation (Hardcover)
I read Working Woman's Arst of War in 2 days, between my schooling and work. I couldn't put it down. It is right on, truthful tactics, to receive personal success for the women of the 21st century, and for the future. A classic to read and pass on to daughter generations. It deals with subjects such as jealousy, sexuality and harassment, men and other subjects and twists them around to a positive point of view in dealing with such areas of the workplace. This book teaches women how to be winners, and understand that they have just as much potential, if not way more in today's society, for becoming a leader of the home or business venture. Chin-Ning Chu, the author, also brings in a positive point of view on anything today's society likes to use as an excuse for not winning. She has found the real essence.
