My grandson who is five, loved this chest. He decorated it by himself. It's a good crafting toy. He hides his treasures in it.

I purchased 3 of these for my children to paint during our craft time. They were so excited when I ordered them because the advertisement shows a secret compartment in the bottom of the chest. When we received them they were very disappointed that the product did not actually have a secret compartment. The product we received was in a different box than shown advertised on Amazon. I wasn't too upset at first thinking it was just an old picture but then I reread the description below and it even states that there is a secret compartment. I'll never get why companies don't fix their ads when they change their products but it demonstrates a lack of internal organization.

One of the kits was missing the hinge rod but I was able to improvise using a small nail as the rod.

They are very fragile so don't expect them to last very long.
