Anne Bradstreet arrived in Massachusetts in 1630 most of the poems are of a religious nature but also about her family and life settling in a wilderness also amazingly she also in a very low key manner expressed women's liberation view points, she lived a hard life writing poetry while raising 8 children and going through a fire with total destruction of her house and a couple of moves that couldn't have been easy with all those children and in that time.
