This review is from: The Works of Julius Caesar: Parallel English and Latin (Forgotten Books) (Paperback)
Greetings all, A great book to brush up on your Latin with the old master. Caesar was a great writer in his own prose. Great read. The book is a large size paperback, good size print. Heavy. Fits in a briefcase, but not your pocket. Lots of room for notes in your own translation which you will be working at as your speed picks back up. Then you can read just the Latin. Lot of fun. Highly recommended. Best regards,

Anyone with a solid interest in the history of the Roman empire or with Julius Caesar himself would find this book fascinating. The paralell Latin and English adds to the sense of history yet to read Caesar's own words detailing battles and politics from his era enlightens one to the actual man behind the legend. Don't let the long read deter you, the parallel writing makes it a quicker read than you would think.
