5.0 out of 5 stars An easy must read for all ages

2.0 out of 5 stars It Doesn't Work
Poorly written, spelling errors, and just another regurgitation of the "Secret" nonsense. Believe in yourself, and work like hell. Maybe you'll magnetize riches and a great new lifestyle by daily recitation of your goals--but I wouldn't bet on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars An easy must read for all ages, December 4, 2008
This review is from: It Works With Simple Keys: Updated Edition Of The Famous Little Red Book That Makes Your Dreams Come True, Now With Simple Keys (Paperback)
I first read this book before the Simple Keys were added. It was a quick and easy read, and the instructions were easy to follow. Then when I was met with obstacles and what I wanted wasn't happening, I gave up on the principles of the book.

Then I received this updated edition with the Simple Keys added. Some of this new information was the answers I needed when my goals seemed out of reach or too hard to get.

The chapter on Self Worth is an important chapter. This chapter helped me to see where I was unconsciously short circuiting my own efforts. This chapter identifies several self defeating thoughts and behaviors that have been preventing me from having the results I wanted.

The author kept this book intentionally short in page count, but still packed full of information. The original message is more clear and results more attainable with the added Simple Keys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent starter book and great refresher, December 12, 2008
This review is from: It Works With Simple Keys: Updated Edition Of The Famous Little Red Book That Makes Your Dreams Come True, Now With Simple Keys (Paperback)
I've re-read this book several times. My pages are dog eared and I have run out of space to journal even through the book has space for journaling in every chapter. It is a self discovery and a how-to manual.

On one level it is a simple message that has been said over and over by many teachers, and on a deeper level there are tools to better integrate the depth of the message into real results.

One chapter touches on the impact self esteem has on our results in life and suggestions how to begin restructuring it.

It's a short but powerful read; a great beginning for someone new on the path of consciously creating their life, and a great reminder for anyone who needs to clear the dust again

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick, easy to read, understand and follow the instructions, December 7, 2008
This review is from: It Works With Simple Keys: Updated Edition Of The Famous Little Red Book That Makes Your Dreams Come True, Now With Simple Keys (Paperback)
I appreciate that Davenport enhances the original works and acknowledges the original author of It Works. The material that Davenport has added to the original text makes this book a greater learning as well as reference tool. Several times as I find myself in an emotionally difficult place, not moving forward in my life, I can refer back to one of the tools, referred to as "keys" in this book and find an exercise that will help me get out of my rut and begin moving forward again.
So many jewels in each chapter.

5.0 out of 5 stars must read for anyone, May 10, 2010
This review is from: It Works With Simple Keys: Updated Edition Of The Famous Little Red Book That Makes Your Dreams Come True, Now With Simple Keys (Paperback)
this book is easy to read and the instructions are so easy to follow, most people might overlook how powerful the instructions are. The underlying theme of the book is a reprint from a book published in the early 1900's, but this author has added additional insight into how to overcome frustrations and understand how this easy system really works and how we tend to interfere or shy away out of old habits.

I recommend that you buy the book and follow the instructions exactly as stated for 4 weeks. If you commit to the easy process, you will learn more about yourself and see changes in what shows up in your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works when you follow the plan, July 9, 2011
This review is from: It Works With Simple Keys: Updated Edition Of The Famous Little Red Book That Makes Your Dreams Come True, Now With Simple Keys (Paperback)
The main portion of this book was written in the 1920's, so some of the words are a little weird by today's standards. But that is part of the beauty of the message.
This book talks about understanding what you are focusing on. Do you focus on what you don't have or what you want to have? Do you give up when it doesn't instantaneously appear like magic?
The original words were simple and easy. Write it down and stay clear on your intentions. I like that Ms. Davenport added the chapters that help to understand what to do when you get frustrated, when it's not happening fast enough and how to get out of your own way.
This book is so simplified in it's message that some people might find it too simple or they might look for the "catch". No catch. Simple and true.
I use this technique with everything I want to have and accomplish. I may not have the result in the way I would have made it, but I still get my result. As an example, I wanted to be better appreciated on my job, so that is what i wrote. Then I got fired, and after only a few days I was hired at another company who appreciates my work. The result may not arrive in the package we want but it always shows up according to our faith and dedication to what we want. It works and the simple keys are simple.
Just read it and follow the 3 rules of accomplishment and it will work.
