Editorial Reviews

Review

The World According to Michael: A gem. It's fun to read, is the starter book of choice and shows signs of being very carefully put together. There is much here in a small package; (the author) is putting forth a lot of information in a wonderfully painless fashion. -- The Michael Connection, summer 1987

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Think of this Book Years Later, October 13, 2004
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I read this book quite some time ago, yet I still think of it or reference it when speaking to others when I want to make a particular point. I found it to be a great read with information that is very relevant to today regarding the the current state of international relations. Use of the Michael system in thinking about other countries and cultures gives one a way to understand why another nation may behave in ways one might find very troublesome - and provide a way to understand why one can't just provide democracy or other cultural ways on another group of people. I loved the book. I've given away multiple copies. Buy it! Read it! Think about it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating and useful, August 8, 2000

For anyone interested in understanding themselves and others, the Michael System is an excellent lens with which to view the world. This book explains the Michael basics in a very readable manner, and works well as a reference manual. Joya Pope has done a great job organizing the information and presenting the material in a way that will serve advanced Michael "students" and individuals with a casual interest equally well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everybody has a right to be here, good or "bad", September 7, 1998
By A Customer
I have given this book so many times to friends feeling all alone and confused, which is how I came upon it. It's easy to follow and you find yourself nodding in agreement most of the time. It validates so much. I'm about to read it again and want to give away two copies soon.
