I always have liked this book because of the fact that it has so much useful informatio. The only bad thing about the World Almanac is that even though the cover says 1999, most of the things inside cover only up to 1997, so they don't have 1998, except a little brief section on the major events and happenings of 1998. However, the book is still a good one.

The most information to be found in a single volume, the 1999 World Almanac is a must-have reference source for every home and library. The mere scope of the facts and figures offered (the most up-to-date available anywhere) is staggering, and it is all presented in an exceptionally easy-to-use format. Cheers for a job incredibly well done!

I have bought the Almanac every year since 1980 and every year they get better and better expanding with worlds of new information.

Robert Famighetti and the rest of the World Almanac staff have done it again, surpassing other yearly almanacs available. I have purchased this book every year since 1991 and have never been disappointed. The almanac offers information about everything from solar eclipses and the world's tallest buildings to America's favorite TV shows and the latest results from the world of sports. Special features in this edition include the most dramatic sports events of the 20th century, a section on the upcoming millenium, and an article on the Clinton impeachment inquiry. No home or school should be without this astounding wealth of knowledge.
