An emergency trip to a hospital is supposed to be helpful, but journalist Sidney Zion charged that New York Hospital didn’t aid his daughter, it killed her. Was her death preventable? Was she partly responsible? Do hospitals, by requiring weary residents and other personnel to work long hours, put patients at risk? These were some of the issues raised in this important case.
