5.0 out of 5 stars Bare Faces Have Empty Souls
I attended the World Beard and Moustache Championships in Carson City on a lark, and entered myself as a contestant in a bout of sheer madness. I attended the World Beard and Moustache Championships in Carson City on a lark, and entered myself as a contestant in a bout of sheer madness. It was pretty difficult to imagine what these people would be like. Before long, I learned that anyone willing to transform his face into a piece of abstract art is fine by me. This magical Halloween weekend of October, 2003 is well encapsulated in this amusing and photo-filled masterwork - and I don't just say that becuase my photo is the final image in the volume. Come to Berlin in October for the next competition and feel the excitement - just don't touch my beard.
