Pretty good compilation,

Brazillian flavored tunes pulled together from previously released albums by Mr. Ritenour who supervised the sequencing on this disc. I was a little disappointed in the lack of a mood theme that I thought might be created being a fan of the Jobim style of latin music. Instead we are provided a wide array of latin styles which go from laid back romantic to frenetic.

Since 1973, Ritenour was always a big passionate of Brazilian music, including at least 1 Brazilian track in almost every previous CD release.
"World of Brazil" is a compilation of all his previous Brazilian music. Bossa Nova, Jobim, Ritenour style, this album is a treat for any Brazilian Bossa Nova relaxing Jazz music lover and a must for any LT fan. Well recommended

I've had this cd for years, as I've been a fan of "Rit" for a long time. I rediscovered it a few months ago and realized why I loved it. I love Brazilian rythyms and cool or so called smooth jazz and this combines the two wonderfully! I especially like the vocal tracks that are sung in Portugese (even if I don't have the translations) because the language is just very beautiful.

I love this CD from beginning to end. It's one Lee Ritenour's best. It's like a great wine, just the right blend.
