5.0 out of 5 stars A fine update on Ruth's past twelve years, plus a look ahead

3.0 out of 5 stars Earth Shift Alert Posponed!
In the mid 1980's, (certainly with the help of the Guide's forecast) I perhaps spent more time and energy than I should have with being concerned about the possible "Axis Shift" of the Earth which had been predicted by the Guides and Edgar Cayce as possibly happening around 1998-99. Now here we are, in the Year 2000, and the prediction of this "tilt"...

This book offers us a brief look at the past twelve years or so of Ruth's life, and then lets us in on the Guides' predictions for the planet Earth in years to come.

In summary, the Guides remind us -- as they have in the past -- that regardless of whether a person survives The Shift, everything will turn out okay. And, most of us who avidly read Ruth's books are sure to realize that we came into our respective lifetimes -- in part at least -- to experience this great upcoming event. That means that those people we know who refuse to take seriously what she and the Guides have written, are putting themselves into the same position that the doubters of Noah were in before The Great Flood. So, perhaps if we know people who will later refuse to evacuate to safe areas, we might have to realize that they probably chose this path before coming into this life. In any case, it seems that another 5-13 years may elapse before the next Great Flood/Shift will occur, so there's no reason for anyone to uproot his/her life at the moment. The signs will be obvious long before the time comes.

Having spent most of my own life dealing with psychic and intuitive events, I would strongly suggest that everyone practice at developing his/her own intuition. There is a wonderful book by Laura Day entitled PRACTICAL INTUITION that I highly recommend; it contains a great number of exercises that should make a believer out of anyone who will at least give them a fair try.

Intuition is -- I firmly believe -- a gift from God and His method of directly communicating with each of us.

May you have music in your ears, love in your heart, a bounce in your step, and Light in your Soul.

--- Cecilia

5.0 out of 5 stars Read eight of Ruth's books and kept wanting more..., March 4, 2000
By A Customer
Working in a book store in 1982 Ruth Montgomery's book "A Search For Truth" literally dropped in my hands from three shelves above me. The title caught my eye immediately because at the time I was searching for answers. From the moment I began reading I could not put the book down. Ruth has a way of writing that holds you captive. I read eight of her books after that and all were just as good as the first. Ruth Montgomery introduces topics of a metaphysical nature to her readers in such a way that make sense and sound logical. She is believable. Ruth is a great teacher on topics covering reincarnation, past lives, life after life, walk-ins, and the list goes on. Long before the rest of us would develop our insights in the late 90s and into the new century, Ruth was an original writing on subjects that during her days were considered too bizarre. Ruth is a pioneer in the field of metaphysics. Her books were written to bring us enlightment. This last book is a blessing to the ones that have enjoyed her previous writings. Reading Ruth's books were like having a friend that understood you and helped you find the answers to questions which were often crossing your mind, but never fully understood. Finding Ruth Montgomery's newist book after 12 years, I was not going to pass up the chance to enjoy my old friend again. For those that do not understand, or do not quite follow what she has written in a "World to Come" I strongly suggest reading all her books and coming back to this one. You will not be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing! Fits in to the other theories of the millenium, October 31, 1999
I haven't read her other books yet but understand this one is a good one to start with. It was easy to read and actually easy to comprehend. I have more hope for the coming world (and my children) and less fear for the coming hard times. More hope, less fear, it must be good!

5.0 out of 5 stars A fascinating look at the next decade and millennium., August 17, 1999
By A Customer
"Unpack and relax" - Ruth Montgomery

Ruth Montgomery's last book is a fascinating look at the next decade and the beginning of the millennium of peace. Ruth brings her biography up to date with the poignant details of her husband's death and life thereafter. Ruth motivation for writing another, final book is to allay the fear people have about death, especially the fear they feel of the impending shift of the planet on its axis. While many will die, that event is not to be feared as we will be in good company and reunited with our relatives and friends; and then we can plan to return to "life" in a better world.

The changes to her earlier predictions include:

New York and California will suffer less damage. The walk-in president will survive the shift. The shift will not occur until 2003 at the earliest and could wait until 2012. Drought and famine are coming - and we need to prepare for this. There will be no more major wars. Human behavior can influence the earth changes. Relocation of refugees will be a major project. The news media will publicize the coming shift, frightening many.

The exact timing is unknown. It depends on when the walk-in is elected president, and we don't know who he is!

While the Guides see no possibility for preventing the shift, they say that our improving consciousness regarding God has reduced the severity of the earth changes and delayed the necessity of the shift.

Many walk-ins believe that the shift can be prevented and its up to us.

This book gets my highest recommendation!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ruth RULES no matter what!, July 5, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The World to Come: The Guides' Long-Awaited Predictions for the Dawning Age (Paperback)
The World to Come was an incredible book to read! I have read many of Ruth Montgomery's books and enjoyed them all immensely. They were all enlightening eye-openers. It is good to know that not all predictions are 100% accurate...that's why they are called predictions, with an element of "possibility" within them. Psychic and Mediums are guided to give information. It doesn't mean it will be totally accurate or come about on a specfic date. If conditions change, thoughts change, or hearts change, so will the outcome of a prediction. You are on a path and if your free will chooses another path, its likely what was originally felt as your outcome will not come to fruition. When this happens, when a change occurs in consciousness, so will the outcome because of the changes you've choosen. God may have lesson the blow, do to the change of consciousness of our thoughts, our prayers, or our combined efforts up to this point. Nothing is written in stone with God, all things are possible. So for those who are disappointed that the Shift of the earth's axis didn't occur on a specific date, or hasn't yet occurred...do not lose faith in Ruth Montgomery. She was given information and shared this information with her readers. She was given "new" information and shared again with us. This does not make her have less credibility, or negate all the information she has so generously shared with us. If anything, we should be thankful for her honesty to set us straight. Frankly any delay in Shifts, or trauma to the world is fine with me.

In the mid 1980's, (certainly with the help of the Guide's forecast) I perhaps spent more time and energy than I should have with being concerned about the possible "Axis Shift" of the Earth which had been predicted by the Guides and Edgar Cayce as possibly happening around 1998-99. Now here we are, in the Year 2000, and the prediction of this "tilt" of the Earth (which the Guides still maintain WILL happen and cannot be stopped by human intervention) will not occur until maybe 2013 at the earliest! I've read and enjoyed all of Ruth's books as well, but this one reads more like a gossip letter from an old friend than a compelling book. Be careful not to worry or prepare too soon for such a catastrophic event, because who knows?, by 2013 it might be delayed for another 10 or 20 years again. I've enjoyed reading the commentary from Arthur Ford, Lily and the Guides, but their prognostications are far from infallible. Didn't they suggest once that the shift might have happened by now, and that Ruth would not be alive to see it? Please don't get too caught up in it. Also, I did not care that much for all of the historical figures from the Jesus Era who are purportedly reincarnated (and acquainted) in America today. This book is really for die-hard Ruth fans who needed an encore.

5.0 out of 5 stars There's nothing in the least bit wrong with Arthur Ford., October 10, 1999

What a very fine book this is. Truly fine. I attended sessions with a medium that said essentially these same things. But, what a lovely reminder this book is for me. Truly great for those that haven't the chance to see a medium.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pole Shift Lite: Changing future probibilities, April 8, 2002
----
Ruth Montgomery passed over in June 2001. Ruth Montgomery's last book is a fascinating look at the next decade and the beginning of the millennium of peace.

Ruth motivation for writing another, final book is to allay the fear people have about death, especially the fear they feel of the impending shift of the planet on its axis - delayed to about 2012, and much less damage than was thought, thanks to our improving morals - look at the change in New York City in the 1990s!

The pivot point of the shift looks like Minneapolis, Mn., so Florida (pushed into the Gulf) and the northern-central coast of California (pushed into the Pacific at about 140MPH) will not survive- but New York City will, despite the 90-100MPH winds on the east coast. Cayce's safety lands- Ohio, Indiana and most of Illinois will hardly know its happened, until the sun rises in the north-east that morning.

Ruth Montgomery and her Guides have done more to promote widespread spirituality in this century than anyone I know. Her message in The World to Come is clear: prepare, believe, love.

This review is from: The World to Come: The Guides' Long-Awaited Predictions for the Dawning Age (Paperback)
i love this book. it's a page turner. i could not put it down.

i love ruth montgomery's style. it is simple and easy to understand. i started reading her books when i was a teenager 35 years ago. they are as important and meaningful to me today as they were when i was 15. they are invaluable to me in my search for the truth. ruth has paved the way for my subsequent interest in - and aptitude for - edgar cayce, seth, paramahansa yogananda, carlos castaneda, ramtha, quantum physics and more.

the "world to come" predicts a shift in the earth's axis, a walk-in president to usher in the new age and the millennium of peace and harmony that follows. within this context ruth includes interesting information about many things: the beginning of humankind, life after death, reincarnation, spiritual guides, lemuria and atlantis, ufos, christ consciousness and more. the chapters that describe the life of jesus are particularly interesting.

i would not recommend this book to individuals looking for facts, or a specific roadmap to the past or future. i highly recommend this book to those seeking to glimpse our past and future. this book is not a scientific journal. it is a book that revels in possibilities, and for readers like myself passionately inspires.
