A world listing of all passenger aircraft that have suffered an accident and consequently have never flown again. All types of aircraft are detailed, including helicopters, airships, balloons and gliders, providing they could carry a minimum of eight passengers, or an equivalent amount of cargo. Main entries include date and location of accident, aircraft registration and construction numbers, type, circumstances and casualities. Cross reference appendices provide details by aircraft type and operator. The book also covers civil transport aircraft as well as military and smaller aircraft lost in airline service.

If you are an aviation crash/accident buff, this book is for you. The accidents are listed by date, location, aircraft type, and injuries & fatalities. The book is basically a big list but it is an excellent aviation reference

I borrowed this book from a friend who owns it and I started reading it and I got hooked from all of the vividly described stories told by passangers and crew of numerous aircraft accidents I Can't wait to own this book so I can read it over and over again.

Simply an index of accidents around the world. Not much in the way of background information, but if you're trying to find the date a IL-76 crashed in Siberia in 1982, it's probably in there.
