4.0 out of 5 stars good easy read about different naval aircraft, August 4, 2010
By
This review is from: The World Encyclopedia of Naval Aircraft: An illustrated history of shipborne fighters, bombers and helicopters, including the Sopwith Pup, B-25 ... Lynx, Sikorsky Sea King and many more. (Hardcover)
This is one of the later books out there that covers various naval aircraft and gives a brief usually a page to two page read about a certain aircraft. Of course this book in not complete because they would have to do more than one volume to cover every naval aircraft. In fact the u.s. navy alone had many planes that they only had a few of ever! This one has lots of color illustrations and only tells about the planes featured not any combat stories of them. This is just what it says it is a encyclopedia of some naval aircraft. And it's simply written and to the point. It's a good one for plane lovers to look at wether they be military fans or not.
