5.0 out of 5 stars The Blackmetal Album of the year, March 31, 2003
By R. Beltran "Book Fan" (Garden Grove, CA. USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
World Funeral put Marduk over the top, as one of the top Blackmetal bands in the world. The songs range from Fast to slow and Legions vocals are brilliantly done. This is their best work since Nightwing,World Funeral eclipses that album. If you like fast, Blackmetal, get this today.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fine Work of Black Metal, August 14, 2004
By Hellforge (brooklyn, ny United States) - See all my reviews
After hearing Panzer Division Marduk I was impressed by the speed of this Swedish group, but I had doubts to their overall artistic ability. Those doubts were erased by this album.
I recommend World Funeral to almost any fan of black metal. Here there are songs with terrifying speed but also menacingly slow ones. Legion's vocals are very vile and dark, as black metal should be. The guitars also get a thumbs up for impressive riffing and tremolo picking. The subjects contained in this work are also very dark and evil, with necro-lore and anti-christian hatred spread throughout. There is nothing lacking here!

4.0 out of 5 stars WOW, August 3, 2004
I must say...I expected to hear nothing but 100 mph music here...not the case. The melody is great and I must disagree with people who say the slow songs mixed in with the fast ones throw it off...it just makes the cd that much more diverse. I love it, and if you like Marduk you will, too.
