5.0 out of 5 stars A good golf video for different levels, June 23, 2000

This review is from: World of Golf: Most Common Faults & Cures [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video provide some "not-so-common" tips for different levels of golf lovers but the faults mentioned are so common that almost all golfers should encounter before. After watching the tape, your response should be "oh... that's it!". I think the most outstanding one should be the explaination of the Swing path. Last but not the least, when you compared the price, this should be a high-value golf video which worth 5 Stars.

While solid in drills for general problems you may encounter(it addresses such issues as grip pressure, lie of the club, balance and problems like coming over the top), his methods are a little outdated. It was produced in 1992 and the way the golf swing is taught has changed some. Golf is taught around the big muscles, which he does hint at somewhat, and Flick advocates a very handsy feely type of swing. It is good at showing various faults in swings using amateurs and then compares them to many PGA pros to show how they swing. He then shows you some good drills to address the problem. My only problem is with his overall handsy swing theory. He even advocates emulating Lee Trevino's swing at one point! No teacher today would advocate copying Lee's self taught swing. If you have ever had a golf lesson you will see the diffence in what is taught today and the difference in what Flick teaches. However, if you are having a specific problem you may find it addressed and drills to straighten your problem out. And for ten bucks you cant really go too wrong.
