About the Author

Bruce J. Fried, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Health Policy and Administration in the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also the director of the Master's Degree Program and a research fellow at the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research. Dr. Fried teaches in the areas of organizational theory, human resources management, and workforce issues in healthcare.

Laura Gaydos is pursuing her Ph.D. in Health Policy and Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to her doctoral studies, Laura conducted healthcare research and planning activities for the Health Care Advisory Board, Washington, DC, in the areas of women's health and maternal/child health.

Great book, amazing price. Needed it for a class, and it really paid off to buy it on amazon! Easy to read, great diagrams. Really gives you a whole new perspective on how a healthcare system should work, and what could happen to integrate other healthcare systems together to make something truly profitable.
