We used this as the base of our geography course in our home school last year. My kids really liked it and they learned so much. They actually asked me to find something just like it for geography this year. Sadly, I haven't found anything quite like it. We also used the U.S. History Map Activities by the same publisher, Walch, previous to using this one. We liked it too. The Geography Coloring Book by Kapit is another good resource that we've learned from.

My 7th grade son is using this for school at home this year. The book is thorough, interesting and coordinates perfectly with his history studies of the ancient world. I never have to coax my son into getting his geography done.

This is a good book, but it lacks an answer key for the maps. Quite often the kids in my class don't have the resources to find all of the more esoteric places and a map key would solve that.
