Perfectly unnecessary when accurate, which is seldom,

This review is from: World History Biographies: Michelangelo: The Young Artist Who Dreamed of Perfection (National Geographic World History Biographies) (Hardcover)
Where this book does not repeat myth, fantasy and falsehood it is merely a repetition of everything else that has been published on the subject. However the author has clearly done no real research into the current literature. He seems to rely on decades-old boilerplate. This adds nothing and merely reinforces ideas that have long since been discredited. Buy anything else.
