5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING - DON'T MISS THIS, August 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is an excellent and very entertaining documentary about some of the most brutal and successful criminal organizations in the world. I totally enjoyed this from the beginning to the end. If you are only familiar with the story or history of the Italian Mafia, then this documentary will show you, in very frightening terms, that they are far from the only infamous organized crime syndicate in the world. I found perhaps the most frigntening crime syndicate to be the Russian's, with thier dealing in nuclear arms, and their merciless brutalitly against anyone who stands in their way. But this series dives deep into the backgrounds of organized crime in Europe, South America, the mid and far east, etc.., and provides very vivid details through news clips and photos and fascinating interviews with undercover agents who experienced the horror and brutality and cut-throat dealings of these organizations. This is not a stale boring history lesson, it's a first-hand inside look at the clandestine operations of crime syndicates that hold entire popualtions of people in terror. Trust me, you don't want to miss this. Buy it. The DVD's worked perfectly, flawlessly, the video and audio were excellent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good DVD, October 27, 2004

This 2 dvd set is satisfying, I bought it to find out more about Chinese and Indian OC, as I didn't have much knowledge of that. But it's very informative with a lot of dramatizatons of things that supposedly happened in the past. Every episode in this set is well edited and the qualiity s excellent. Pablo Escobar is on it, and wait till you see "the chinese John Gotti" of chinatown, NYC.

5.0 out of 5 stars Insightful,, March 7, 2005
This is a great set. The India film is gripping, especially the story of modern day crime in Bollywood, India's Hollywood. I was blown away by the representation of indian hookers - wow!

The guys must have risked their ass to get that footage - way to go!
