Shortening the cable is very fussy.,

I bought four of these for my kitchen. They are attractive, but way too fussy to install. I've owned several of these types of pendant lights, and all require some basic electrical work to shorten the cable. This one is very difficult, requires a lot of precision and tiny adjustments. I ended up using superglue to hold some of the pieces together. Even now that it is up on my ceiling, I still worry every time I have to take it down to replace the bulb, because sometimes it won't work when I put it back up. I ended up having to buy an extra light just for parts because not everything fit together quite right when I was done. Still, they look great!
