My habit is to make about one pie a week. Of all the plates that have been used, to me this is the classic one that is perfect for the job. My pies are mostly the fruit kind. It is easy to clean and study. And it allows for even baking of the crust.

I bought this for my father per his request of an "additional Pyrex pie dish for my leftovers." Yea, it can be used for pies, but also for a full-meal of leftovers that can be warmed in the oven/microwave, with a lid for another Pyrex dish. :-)

Great product!

You can't beat Pyrex, and they made it all the way to Kuwait, in time for Pumpkin pies, in great shape.

This is the best quality and totally affordable.

If I could, I would give this product a negative rating. I used this pie plate to heat some egg rolls, and it exploded in my oven. Except for the egg rolls and the plate itself, there was no permanent damage, but it took me hours to clean up the mess. The heat was set at 425 - the upper acceptable limit shown on the label. The plate had been used once or twice before to bake pies, so it was virtually brand new. This pan is dangerous and should not be used. It is not the same high quality Pyrex we all grew up with and loved. This is a cheap Chinese knock-off (that costs the same!) that will almost certainly end up hurting someone. I've bought this and various other Pyrex, CorningWare and Corelle pieces over the years, plus several items and sets for my daughter and son-in-law. But I'm asking her to toss the new ones.

I'll buy her something different but it won't be Pyrex. No more Corelle, no more CorningWare and no more Anchoring Hocking, either, for that matter.

I am not usually militant about a product--I normally feel of course companies will try to make the most money they can and consumers should try to do their homework and make good choices.

But I am highly upset that the company has not addressed a very widespread problem with their products exploding when heated. Some people have experienced injuries, yet somehow, the company has gotten away with not recalling any products. They have simply added to their warning label in an attempt to cover themselves.

For this reason, I won't be buying any more from a company that is willing to take the customers' money but doesn't seem to care at all that they are selling a dangerous product.

$15 for one single pie plate - that's just crazy. $15 for six pie plates would have been crazy too but that's what it says in the title and description of this listing. But, of course, only one pie plate came in the mail. Do not order this hoping that it will actually be as described.

This was just what I needed and for a pretty good price.I used it to make apple pie and it baked the crust perfectly golden.I was soooo nervous using this because of other reviews saying their's had shattered,but the packaging warns about extreme temp changes so that won't happen to you.Just be careful.So far so good,that's about all I can say right now,only used once.

Pyrex Clear Oven Ware 9" Glass Pie Plate, I Bake with it all the time, the "Thin PLate" I call it because I like to use it for those times when I make smaller pies like Key Lime Pie, is not a very deep Dish, however, is just wide enough, perfect to make my thin Pies. The Glass Pie Plate makes it Right

I don't care for those Thick Pies with Tons of Fruit, I just like a sliver of Key Lime Pie with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream, and the Pie Plate is the right one for that!
