I got to hear this album through a friend of mine, and was astounded at its sheer brilliance, It is so sonic and very lush sounding with a lot of instrumentation from strings to funky sitars and I love anjali's sweet voice, it sounds a lot like a James Bond movie soundtrack, I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves discovering new and fantastic music! The best album from 2003 without a doubt.

'World of Lady A' imho is one of the best cds to come out in 2003... It's pretty solidly diverse from the first track to the last track... And it's great to see an Indian Lady like herself pushing boundaries in the world of electronica music... I highly recommend you buying this cd and if you are a lounge DJ - I especially recommend you pick it up - DJ Dakini-NYC

Well it's too late,

Being pelted in the eyeball and forehead by small ice pellets yesterday afternoon, the lush sounds of Anjali entertained me as I walked to the post office. I didn't know what to expect, but despite the cold, wind and rain-ice pellet mix, and the growing feeling of having a hollow head (the strange sounds of the inside of your head when it feels hollow are none too comforting) Anjali managed to lift my sagging spirits (sagging both due to the dismal weather but more due to the results of the recent US elections) and give me the energy to trudge on through the inclement conditions. Coming home later, the music (Anjali's elegant, soothing voice, particularly) served me well in both activity (cooking, cleaning, and other things for which one needs outside inspiration) and in contemplation (writing letters, listening to Anjali in headphones). It is an album that fits many moods and circumstances, and one of the rare few one can listen to straight through. Perhaps as a matter of circumstance, "Rainy Day" proves to be my favorite.
