Hard to find but well worth the trouble!,

It is probably the most thoroughly-researched, best-written history of Maluku (especially North Maluku) ever written. All historical events described are cross-referenced with the sources.The book is remarkable in that it puts an emphasis on trying to describe the troublesome history of contact between Malukans and Europeans from the native as well as the colonial point of view. Unfortunately this book can be very hard to find but is certainly worth the trouble! Can't praise it highly enough... |
