More About the Author

Author's Bio:
Breaking news! The Trade Paperback of Festival Madness is now on sale. Get your copy today.
Festival Madness is set in the high technology world of Cambridge, MA and Rte 128 and at the Burning Man Festival in Nevada. This fast-paced novel moves from high treachery to dust storms in the Black Rock Desert and "After Burn" parties in Reno. Festival Madness joins World of Mirrors and The Shadow Warriors on the Kindle for readers who love to read a high tech book on a high tech device, both of them friendly, of course. "Madness," "World" and "Warriors" are genre-busting novels of adventure and romantic suspense. And when was the last time you read about a cloak and dagger meeting at Chuck E.Cheese's?

I am Judith Copek, the author, and possibly the only person you will ever meet who was born in Montana, I grew up on the High Plains of Colorado and moved down to Houston to pick up a B.A. in English from Rice University. After a stint in Chicago, I landed in New England where I spent twenty-plus years as an Information Systems nerd, a natural choice for an English major. Analytic skills are transferable to any occupation and helped me survive Dilbert-like re-engineering projects and the Millennium Bug. In my writing, I like to put a literary spin on technology, and to show technology's humor and quirkiness along with its scary aspects.

When I'm not writing, cooking or digging in the garden, I'm researching my next novel. Right now that novel is Such Stuff As Dreams, set in the Los Angeles area in 1928. I belong to Toastmasters, Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America and PEN New England. I'm also a founding member of the New England Crime Bake Mystery Conference. Vital statistics: Three cats, two kids, one husband!

World of Mirrors by Judith Copek is an exciting read, full of plot twists, about a glamorous cybersleuth who needs to retrieve some software from some shady characters in a newly reunited Germany. The Wall just came down, and there are spies and secret police looking for mischief everywhere. The German scenery and details about local food give this McGuffin chase a feeling of authenticity. -- Claire GilbertWorld of Mirrors

Format: Kindle Edition
World of Mirrors by Judith Copek delivers what the elegant cover promises, a world of uncertainty, ever in motion in which the cybersleuth is out of her on-line comfort zone, tracking criminals in the tangible world. The story is set on the northeast coast of former East Germany, in a beachy resort of dunes and islands and old-style inns little visited by Americans, but popular with sailors of various nationalities--and intentions, not all good. Action takes place on land and water, with interludes of lovingly described meals in the inns, where the food is a pleasure but the fellow diners are not who they appear to be. Great for beach reading, but will keep you awake with exciting, frightening twists and turns.

World of Mirrors by Judith Copek is a suspenseful,fast-paced ride through post-Cold War Germany immediately following reunification. Ms Copek's polished voice and style drop you onto the haunting cliffs and beaches of Rügens island and lift her worldly, computer-savvy characters off the page. This is a book you won't put down until it slams to a satisfying end.
