World mix,

This review is from: 15 World Music Classics (MP3 Download)
The other review here is for some other album. This is NOT a cd from the world cup, and it does not have Ricky Martin.
This is a really interesting mix of world music, mostly from Europe and the Americas, plus one from Ethiopia and one from Afghanistan (none from East Asia). Here are the tracks: -Manana Me Voy by Conjunto Los Amigos del Ande (Peru) -Zmirneikos Balos by Marika Papagika (Greece) -La Tinajita by Ivan Cuesta (Venezuela) -Acuerdate Bien, Chaleco, by Sexteto Munamar (Cuba) -El Caballito by Los Caimanes (Mexico) -Di Zilberne Khasene by The Klezmorim (Klezmer) -Kozaczka Szumka by Theodore J. Swystun (Ukraine) -The Eldest of All by Seleshe Damessae (Ethiopia) -Poor But Ambitious by Wilmoth Houdini (Trinidad) -Medley of Hulas by Kalama's Quartet (Hawaii) -I Bid You Good Night by Joseph Spence (Bahamas) -Icek w Kolomej by Orkiestra Majkuta (Poland) -Amantine! Amantine! by Stellio et son Orchestre Creole (Martinique) Irarra Hayanh Gurigiya by Chatuye (Garifuna from Belize) -Charbeiti Kahrwa by Aziz (Afghanistan)

Fantastic,

This review is from: 15 World Music Classics (Audio CD)
This CD is really more for the nostalgic type who went to see the game in La France. Ricky Martin is charming and catchy as ever on this CD and the other artists are also equally as entertaining. It is a very EUROPEAN sounding CD so for those of you afraid of latin and europop...stay away. I loved it--it reminded me of the craziness surrounding the World Cup and the partying in Paris.
