5.0 out of 5 stars Make it New
JSG once said his best were Practicing the Presence and The Contemplative Life, but this is an astonishing volume -- and a favorite of this reader.

Nobody can review JSG. But perhaps a little help from his friends will suffice:

"Thy will be done" makes heaven and earth one--not two; so sees Joel Goldsmith. "The Father and I are One" is the sameness...

As with all Goldsmith books that I've read--and I've read and own probably more than two dozen--the material is truly inspirational and can be life changing. As with all Goldsmith books that I've read--and I've read and own probably more than two dozen--the material is truly inspirational and can be life changing. But, having said that, if you own or have read "Rising in Consciousness: The San Francisco Lecture Series", then this is basically that volume. The editing is slightly different, with certain passages removed or re-written, but the sequence of chapter material and wording follows almost identically. (The editing of "The World is New" seems to have reduced its overall number of pages by 40 or so.) And the preface to "The World is New" mentions that it is based on "The First, Second, and Third San Francisco Lecture Series." Also, I'm not sure, but having heard many of Goldsmith's tapes, it seems the language of "Rising in Consciousness..." seems a bit more of his style of talking.

Again, an excellent book, but you may be disappointed to get it if you already have a copy of "Rising...". I give the book a three, only because I have the feeling that the language isn't as true to the original as it should have been. And when comparing the two, I personally prefer the language of "Rising in Consciousness".

Nobody can review JSG. But perhaps a little help from his friends will suffice:

"Thy will be done" makes heaven and earth one--not two; so sees Joel Goldsmith. "The Father and I are One" is the sameness of the earthly body and the heavenly body. Omnipresence sees "no other gods before me; it means that wherever God is I AM, because God is unfolding as my divine and perfect Self, ever present and new.

When we think we're separate, we lose power. ~ Rodney Collin.

We must dare all things. It is our duty as men and women to proceed as though the limits of our abilities do not exist. ~ Teilhard de Chardin

You are what you want to become. Why search anymore? You are a wonderful manifestation. The whole universe has come together to make your existence possible. There is nothing that is not you. The Kingdom of God, the Pure Land, nirvana, happiness and liberation are all you. -- Thich Nhat Hanh
