5.0 out of 5 stars Deep water scenery - cosmic winds and the primal life emerging..., July 2, 2010
This review is from: World Of Sleepers (MP3 Download)
I got this album right after it came out a few years ago and its been a very pleasant experience all along. From the beginning to an end - this is an ambient/downbeat journey that bubbles deep down in the primal waters of the unknown water/cosmic mass...indeed it is for this feeling and mood that i like this album perhaps even with a certain warmth that only the primeaval water can and have given me - god knows how long ago..

5.0 out of 5 stars CBL FTW, June 6, 2011
This review is from: World Of Sleepers (MP3 Download)
I would like to start out by saying that I suck at reviews. However, what doesn't suck, as egotistical as it may sound, is my taste in music. I have thousands of electronic songs ranging from minimal to emotional trance, and just about everything in between. Music is my life, literally. Carbon Based Lifeforms is definitely still one of my all time favorite acts after 4 years. I have heard this album literally hundreds of times, and it never gets old. They are simply INCREDIBLE. Hydroponic Garden is good. But then they kicked it up a HUGE notch with this album. Dark, ethereal, and otherworldly, this album will certainly not disappoint any ambient fan. 5+ STARS FROM ME!

5.0 out of 5 stars In the arms of an angel., June 9, 2011

A trance/chill neurotropic sample-laced anti-matter Mind's-Eye journey of yourself from zygote back to...elemental carbon all for under 9 dollars.
The first time I heard this last night I had the most remarkably controlled extended dream sequences in my life. I felt as if I was in control of my dreams. Twenty four hours later I am still glowing, reflecting, igniting a cosmic fusion Lucky Strike and asking my delightfully schizophrenic selves if it was as good for them as it was for me, for all of us.
This is a blend of trance and ambient chill. Chill music is more somnolent and for me induces a nicely arranged theta wave state: my consciousness, my head is barely above water and I'm comfortably drifting in a sea of dangerous but manageable opiate-like blue water dreams; good stuff. This CD can induce an altered state.
World of Sleepers: a most bloody accurately titled album. This was something out of Dreamtime Return, by Steve Roach, maybe?
I replayed this CD on an mp3 player while sleeping and I lost track of time. Upon the first listening, in the space of four hours, I spontaneously screenplayed my way through a carefully reconsidered lifetime. Not recommended for driving. Good for psychoanalysis. Should come with a warning label. I felt like I was in the arms of a guardian angel. Well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars CBL create great chill out sounds, September 11, 2011

I started with new age and moved into electronica with female vocals (blue stone, delerium, sleepthief, etc) of various sorts and I have arrived here - a pleasant surprise destination, I never would have guessed I would like this. I prefer relaxing music to help me relax and meditate on the days activities or dreams for tomorrow. I find the music interesting to listen to - not repetitive sounds which end up becoming background (white noise) sounds. Highly recommend
