With their 2006 release "World On Fire", the rock and praise band By The Tree has bounced back triumphantly after going through a major change in personnel. This is not only the first BTT album to be released following the departure of main songwriter/lead singer Chuck Dennie, it's also the band's first to not feature any original band members. Despite this, "World on Fire" definitely shows the band revitalized. Long-time BTT drummer Aaron Blanton has stepped up to the plate as the band's leader and delivers some amazing results. While "World on Fire" continues BTT's lyrical focus on praising and worship our Lord and Savior, the album is musically edgier and has a slight reminiscence of band's like the Foo Fighters (there are times when Blaton sounds alot like Dave Grohl vocal-wise). Also, the music has plenty of melodic hooks that will leave you humming long after the disc has finished. There are many standout out tracks here. Among them are "All Around You", "Perfect", "Still Believe", "Shine" and a great cover of Delirious's "Rain Down". By The Tree has definitely brought out their best effort yet with this CD. It's great to hear the band on fire musically and lyrically. While it's debatable who's a better singer for the band, I actually prefer Aaron Blaton over Chuck Dennie (although Chuck wasn't bad at all). For those who thought that By The Tree's music was a little on the weak side in the past, "World on Fire" does more than its share to change that. Great album.

Great CD! Has a pop/rock feel for anyone who loves that type of music mixed with worship music.
