Wow.

Wise Intelligent accepted the challenge that Public Enemy gave to the rap world in 1988, and on this album he finally lives up to it. _New World Order_ has violently provocative politics (the word "whitey" appears about a dozen times), plus a hatred of gangstas and "playas" that would be cruel if it didn't sound so GOOD. There sure is a **l-o-t** of profanity, but even the most squeamish of rap fans won't be able to resist the joyously angry message and the funky, fonke music -- for you South Park fans, imagine Cartman (with an afro) jammin' with Chef. And if that isn't enough to make you buy this album right now, consider the guest list: KRS-One, the Fugees, Brother J (of the X-Clan, which should be your next stop on Amazon.com), Sluggy Ranks, and Nine -- plus samples from Sade, Raekwon, and Mobb Deep. The KRS duet, "Conscious Style," might be the most effective rap song of the decade. So don't run, don't walk -- just click to! buy this album, and don't forget to buy that bass cannon for your Jeep. You're gonna need it.

First of all the Nation of Islam members, PRTs is one of Hip-Hop's most criminally slept-on crews. This is their 4th and last album and in a rare feat in Hip-Hop, 4th time's a charm...their first 3 LP's are all amazing - but with NWO they went out with a prolific bang. They truly took the political/social-concious torch from Public Enemy, 'cause when PE was fallin' off, PRT was blowin' up.

Everything about this album screams masterpiece. The underlying message within this album took me a few spins to fully appreciate, once I got it this album became even doper.

The beats are incredible, the best they've ever handled. The lyrics, track themes & skits are all very well thought out and Wise Intelligent rips the mic harder and more passionately than I've ever heard him. The guest spots are the shining stars of Hip-Hop's social-concious/political/afrocentric/5 %er scenes: KRS-One, The Fugees, Nine, Brother J (X-Clan) and more.

Bottom Line: This album is a masterpiece, if PRTs weren't so slept-on everyone would recognize it as so. Every Hip-Hop head should own this album (along with the previous 3 PRT LPs). 5 stars, Peace.

PRT are on the most slept on groups in the history of hiphop, period. Similarly, Wise Intelligent is one of the most slept on Mc's ever, which is just too unfortunate in itself since he displays one of the most, well wise, educated & natural styles I've ever heard. PRT are mainly a Political/Socially conscious, pro-black group, who aint about the bullish and straight drop knowledge to everybody who bothers to listen to them. I know its a cliche, but Wise does "speak the truth". This is the 4th and last group album, and imo is the best one yet. With featurings from Mr.Hipop himself; KRS ONE, The Fugees, Brother J, Nine, Jr Reid & others the album stays consistent lyrically, with no disapoinments. Similarly, all the beats on the album are crazy..and suited to each and every concept. Aint no fillers on here! It's one big lesson about the USA's government systems, its ethics & everything else that they find un-acceptable trying to live as a black man. Brace Yourself, Open your mind and peep New World Order ( & PRT's other work). You owe it to yourself. 1996 Classic.

I think that wise is one of the best east coast artist ever. His style is like no other. The way he fuses his pure poverty style is truly holy intellect. The way his lyrics just pour out flawlessly, is a true sign that he is all about black business. I hope that P.R.T. will release another compact disc."So the blind man sees and deaf man speaks, cause wise civilized them.

boy, this is the PRT i was waiting for. i think they became even harder in BLACK BUSINESS first (never heard that one). this one is ESSENTIAL from beginning to end. where in the universe is PRT, man? these days, we really need them to break us off!!!!

Like most of the reviews here state, this is classic material right here. You pretty much know what you're going to get from PRT every time out - dope beats and tight rhymes that mostly revolve around the ideals of the 5% Nation. The grossly underrated Wise Intelligent rips every track on the album. The beats are hard with no frills or gimmicks (the sound is what I like to call "tribal boom bap"). NWO was all but ignored by the mainstream due to the growing cancer known as the jiggy era. Those that were paying attention know that this album is great from start to finish. Joints like "Word Iz Life", "Gods, Earths, & 85ers", and "Miss Ghetto" are classics in my mind. As a matter of fact, every song on this album is dope. No wackness to be found here - and that can be said about any PRT release (all of their albums are top notch). You won't need your skip button for this one. Just take the disc, pop it in, and let it ride.

There aren't any flaws on this album. Well, at least none that I can think of. As far as I'm concerned, this is a perfect hip hop record. The songs are great, the interludes are well placed without being contrived or unoriginal, and the guest appearances all come off well (even Pras (from the Fugees) makes an appearance and does a decent job -- and I can't stand him). Basically, you'd be hard pressed to find anything wrong here.

New World Order is probably the most well rounded of the PRT albums and it still sounds fresh 10 years after its release. I recommend adding this album, as well as the rest of their discography, to your collection. Also, check out Wise Intelligent's outstanding solo joint (Killin' U For Fun) for more knowledge/ill verses.

Best album of the highly underrated Poor Righteous Teachers.

Everything about this album is great. Especially the first few songs and of course the song with KRS ONE. Word is bond is my favorite song. The album is a real recomendation at any cost!

Being an aficionado of Hip-hop I had high expectations for this album. Having said that, it's a good album. Not much in the form of catchy loops or beats though.
